Play area and electric car points in amended Grantham Designer Outlet Village plans

Plans for a new £100 million Grantham Designer Outlet Village have been amended following its first round of consultations.

The project, which would be located on a 36-acre section of the King 31 land on the southern edge of Grantham and right next to the A1, will now look to include a children’s play area, charging points for electric cars and the proposed hotel has been reduced to three storeys.

As previously reported, the designer outlet village will include around 130 shops, restaurants and cafes, as well as 1,800 car parking spaces and creating 1,500 jobs.

It is predicted to attract up to 3.5 million visitors per year.

The amended plans will now go on show in a second round of consultation on Friday November 4 from 11am – 6pm at 70 High Street in Grantham town centre, before a planning application is submitted to South Kesteven District Council.
