Bourne-based property developer Larkefleet Homes is expanding into the south west of the country with two new recruits at the head of the department.

Larkfleet Homes South West will be developing new homes primarily in Devon, Cornwall and parts of Somerset and is currently finalising plans for a number of initial sites.

Leading the team will be newly-appointed Head of Construction Shaune Hicks, who will be advising on future land purchases and building strategies for the new company as well as managing the day-to-day operation of projects.

In the past he has won several industry-related awards including NHBC health and safety regional awards and site manager of the year awards and is a gold winner of the Considerate Constructor scheme.

Joining Shaune will be James Higdon as Head of Land. James’ role will be to manage the land acquisition process for Larkfleet Homes South West.

James has spent several years in a similar job with Bellway Homes Limited (Thames Valley) and prior to that gained experience at Barratt Developments Limited and Magna Housing Group.

Adrian Evans, joint Managing Director of Larkfleet Homes, said: “We are delighted to welcome both Shaune and James to the team. Larkfleet Homes is at a very exciting stage of development with our initial plans for growth announced late last year now coming to fruition.

“Shaune and James are key to the expansion of Larkfleet Homes and we look forward to working with them on opening our first sites in the south west.”
