Clugston Group appoints new CEO

Construction, distribution and commercial property company Clugston Group has appointed Robert (Bob) Vickers as Group chief executive commencing in February 2017.

Robert will replace current CEO Stephen Martin, who for 10 years led the £140m privately owned company, which has interests in construction, logistics, facilities management and property development.

Mr Vickers joins Scunthorpe-based Clugston from Carillion Plc, where he was a director in Carillion Construction Services.

He brings a wealth of commercial, general and senior management experience to the company, having previously worked in senior roles at Wimpey Construction, Morrisons, Anglian Water Group (AWG), Gleeson Building and Balfour Beatty.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a Life Member of the Institute of Directors.

Stephen Martin will be taking up the prestigious position of director general at the Institute of Directors in February 2017.
