Chartered accountants Duncan & Toplis appointed a new manager at the Sleaford branch with 13 years of experience in the industry.

John Raynor, 34, has worked in accountancy since 2003 after a change from a career in manufacturing and has experience in improving systems and procedures as well as reducing tax liability for clients.

In his previous role John worked on audits in large companies with a turnover in excess of £60 million, in addition to specialising in auditing academies, charities and pension schemes.

He is also familiar with sourcing and planning finance and reducing annual compliance stresses for businesses.

John said: “My career to date has taken me through differing levels of general practice from small tax returns to large specialised audit assignments.

“My role with Duncan & Toplis is focused on helping a portfolio of clients ranging from sole traders and small businesses through to audits and pure taxation clients.”
