A former waterside restaurant in Torksey has gone up for sale for £250,000.

The Wheelhouse Restaurant, which is situated adjacent to the Torksey Lock and riverside area, comprises a seating area with space for 40 tables and large bar area with fully fitted commercial kitchen and preparation area.

The property also includes two good sized bedrooms, bathroom and sitting area on the first floor.

The restaurant’s tables and chairs will be sold separately

The Hume Arms in Torksey, which closed suddenly in November 2016, is also up for sale.

The property is offered with vacant possession with fixtures and fittings, including the stainless steel kitchen appliances, and is priced at £250,000 as well.

Potential buyers will also be given the opportunity to buy the former restaurant’s tables and chairs separately.

The restaurant is close to the Torksey Lock

Richard Watkinson, director at Richard Watkinson & Partners estate agents, said: “The Wheelhouse Restaurant has been a very successful eatery in this scenic location and is being offered for sale entirely due to ill health.

“Torksey Lock is a wonderful place for boating, wildlife watching and walking and attracts visitors from across the region and further afield.”
