Lincoln-based LK2 Architects Ltd has expanded its team with a new Senior Architectural Technologist.

Mark Howarth has almost 14 years of experience in the industry, having previously worked with high street giant Marks & Spencer on some of its major flagship stores overseeing extensions, interior refits and modernisation works.

LK2’s chartered architects and sports and leisure business advisors specialise in using sport and leisure as a vehicle to blend a range of sectors including mixed use developments, residential, retail and urban regeneration schemes.

As well as extensive experience in retail, Mark has also worked in residential and education sectors, specialising in the application of technology to the design and construction process.

Mark said: “I was lucky enough to work with Marks and Spencer on some of its biggest projects, including the delivery of its Longbridge branch in Birmingham in 2015. This experience has been invaluable and I hope to transfer the skills and knowledge I have acquired to my new position.

“One of the things I’m really looking forward to is getting stuck into LK2’s projects on site and watching buildings come to life.”

Andrew Kitchen, director at LK2, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mark to our team and pleased he has chosen to further his career at LK2. We continue to develop and extend our growing portfolio and having an experienced technologist like Mark join us at this exciting time is fantastic.”
