A Lincoln-based business has been sold to a leading US product distributor whose headquarters lie in the world-famous Silicon Valley.

Microwave Marketing Limited (MML), which is based off Doddington Road, Lincoln, was sold to RFMW Limited.

The legal side of the sale was completed by Lincolnshire’s largest law firm Wilkin Chapman which has praised how the two Lincoln businesses have worked together.

Michael Squirrell, a partner in the legal company, said: “This demonstrates the strong level of technical expertise in the city, especially in the design and engineering markets, which is highly sought after.

“Wilkin Chapman was delighted to act for MML in this transaction having represented the company for a number of years. It shows how two local businesses can work and grow together.”

MML was formed in 1988 and currently employs more than 15 people and supplies high-tech services and products for a variety of businesses.

Chris Carr, the current managing director at MML, will remain at the head of the business.

“RFMW’s culture and strategy is similar to ours in that we both offer leading edge technology from top suppliers and best-in-class service to our customers,” he said.

“We’re proud to become part of the RFMW organisation and add our talent to their global resources.”

RFMW has a UK headquarters in Cranfield, Bedfordshire.
