A Lincoln business is encouraging young people to get into work by running workshops for help and guidance into employment.

The ‘Launch Into’ events are being run by The Network in Lincoln that aims to give people aged 18-24 help into choosing their career paths.

Launch Into Retail will run on Thursday, June 29 at City Hall in Committee Room Four between 10am and 1pm.

The session aims to aid anyone thinking about working in retail and people who attend the event will gain more information about the industry and meet experts.

Project Worker for the Netword, Georgia Pengelly, said: “The Launch Into events are a great way for young people to find out more about jobs and people working in an industry they are interested in.

“So far we have had over 300 people attending the events, with very positive feedback from both attendees and employers.”

The Network, based at City Hall, is a one-stop shop that offers young people support from career advice to financial awareness.

Representatives from St Barnabas Lincoln, The Princes Trust and many more local businesses will be at Launch Into Retail, which will marks the one-year anniversary of The Network.
