A new Hilton hotel in North Lincolnshire has opened to its first guests after an £8 million investment, creating jobs for 50 people.

The Hampton By Hilton Humberside Airport is a three minute walk from the terminal building and is operated under franchise from Hampton and managed by Leaf Hospitality.

The hotel has 100 modern, spacious guest rooms, a business and 24-hour fitness centre, and two meeting rooms capable of accommodating up to 50 people.

It opened officially on July 18.

As well as welcoming guests about to jet off on their holidays, the hotel will also be working with several oil, gas and wind power companies whose workforce will stay there before travelling to the continent or the Humber estuary as it continues to develop as a centre of excellence for renewable energy.

The hotel has taken just over eighteen months to build and Sam Teale, the general manager of the Hampton by Hilton Humberside Airport, hopes that it will play a valuable role in both the local community and the local economy.

He said: “With the offer of meeting space, we hope that corporate clients and community groups from the surrounding villages will make full use of the facilities. Our doors will be open to non-residents looking for somewhere to enjoy a chat and a coffee or stage a meeting away from their office.

“We also expect our guests to be jetting off to holiday destinations from Humberside Airport or visiting one of the many renewables companies that are based in the region.

“Irrespective of whether they’re renewables workers, holiday makers or locals, they will also receive the same warm welcome as we introduce people to what Hampton call, the “Hamptionality” experience.

“It’s a term which is used to describe our approach to friendly customer service, anticipating our guests’ needs and providing travellers with helpful suggestions about area attractions, historical facts and fun things to do nearby.”
