A Lincolnshire village store and post office has been sold for £380,000.

Hogsthorpe Village Store and Post Office, Skegness, was sold to Leicester businessman Balu Odedra, who owns several other retail businesses.

Former owners Tajinda Janda, 47, and Rajpal Janda, 49, who recently extended and refurbished the store, are now set for retirement after their shop was sold.

The store sells a variety of newspapers, food and alcohol and also doubles up as a post office.

David Branch, business agent at Christie & Co who handled the sale, said: “This traditional convenience store is relied on by many in the surrounding area and we are delighted to help the former owners to be able to retire.”
