Marshall Motor Group has submitted a planning application for a new Jaguar Land Rover dealership on Teal Park in Lincoln.
The 40,000 sq ft building would occupy a 3.2-acre site fronting Whisby Road on the Teal Park development, just off the A46 Lincoln bypass.
If approved, a modern-style building with showroom space for 18 new Jaguars and Land Rovers, new vehicle handover bays, offices, workshops and parts stores, will be built.
The expected total development cost is circa £10 million.
Teal Park is already home to 25 varied businesses, with the largest occupier to date being the gas turbine servicing division of Siemens, which occupies 135,000 sq ft and are currently constructing a 70,000 sq ft warehouse and office extension.
Further land is available for development, including Whisby Road frontage plots adjacent to the proposed Jaguar Land Rover dealership.
Dan Race, Development Director with Teal Park developers Taylor Lindsey, said: “We look forward to seeing the planning permission approved and the build underway, this will be a great addition to our Teal Park development and bodes well for attracting further high-profile occupiers in the future.
“This will be the largest new motor showroom development Lincoln has seen and shows the confidence that major national occupiers are showing in Lincoln as a trading location.”
Sam Elkington, Director with agents Lambert Smith Hampton who are consulting with developers on the project, added: “The prominence and profile that this scheme will bring to the site is enormous.
“We have a number of other opportunities under discussion at Teal Park and are of the view that this relocation of Jaguar Land Rover will be of significant benefit to the area.”
A planning committee at North Kesteven District Council will discuss these plans at a later date.
