A 17-bedroom extension is being planned at a premier North Lincolnshire leisure and hotel estate.

Kenwick Park Estate, near Louth, has submitted plans for a £1.25 million 17-bedroom extension to the main hotel.

Currently, the estate hotel has 34 bedrooms and also boasts a £6 million spa and gym, and an 18-hole golf course set in 160 acres.

Following the extension, this would see a 50% increase in rooms on site.

Of the 100 people employed on the estate, 40 work in the spa and beauty centre.

Stuart Flynn opened the hotel 25 years ago with just two members of staff – he now employs 100 people, all of them local.

He said: “The growth has always been organic and comes back to the hotel, which is where it all started. We are all extremely proud of what is happening here.”
