Four new appointments have been made in the Barclays Agricultural team – developed to support farming and rural business across Lincolnshire and the East of England.

The team, led by Craig Sigley, Regional Agricultural Manager, will be based at sites across Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire.

The team has been drawn from both counties across the Barclays network and externally for their knowledge of helping and supporting agricultural businesses.

Joining Sigley in the newly recruited team is Jon Johnson, Relationship Director looking after the Central and South Lincolnshire area; Martin Newton, Relationship Director for the South Lincolnshire, and Cambridge area; Mark Pearson, Agricultural Manager covering the South Lincolnshire and Cambridge area; Pete Briggs, Agricultural Manager who will be located in Boston and cover the Lincolnshire area and Gareth Mablethorpe, Relationship Director covering Central and North Lincolnshire.

Craig Sigley, Barclays Regional Agricultural Manager said: “It’s great to have the new team on board specializing in agricultural and rural business and we now have a wealth of knowledge right across the region.

“The new appointments reinforce our confidence in the business opportunities within the area and our desire to support our customers with a specialist industry sector approach. Our aim is still to be the first choice banking provider to the agricultural industry and we will be progressing this goal with vigour throughout 2017 and beyond.”
