A new local bakery is set to open in Lincoln next week.

The Ticklebelly Lane Bakery and Tea House will open on Guildhall Street, serving up fresh bread, cakes and pastries.

There will be a ground floor kitchen and tea room with an upper floor dining area and a cosy attic.

The company will also be teaming up with Teapigs to provide customers with a variety of exotic teas as well as selling traditional ones.

An official opening date has not been confirmed, however owner James Cook confirmed it would be next week.

Speaking to Lincolnshire Business, James said: “We’re a bakery that started off in a front room, moved onto a bakehouse on Doddington Road and have since progressed and grown.

“We don’t mess about with additives and emulsifiers, and we’re far and beyond anything else on the High Street.”

The bakery and tea house will also be offering experience days this Christmas where people will learn the skill of artisan baking and decorating.

Ticklebelly Lane began in 2011 in North Scarle and opened up a bakehouse on Doddington Road in 2014.
