Four Lincolnshire NatWest branches are set to close next year as part of a company restructuring.

Branches in Immingham, Brigg, Stamford and Gainsborough will close in 2018:

  • Gainsborough – May 17, 2018
  • Stamford – May 17, 2018
  • Brigg – June 13, 2018
  • Immingham – June 27, 2018

NatWest has stated there are a number of reasons behind the closure, including branch usage being down 40% since 2014 and an increase in mobile and online transactions by 41% since the second half of 2014.

Mobile transactions overall are up by 73% since 2014.

A spokesperson for NatWest said: “Closing a branch is a decision we take very seriously.

“A broad range of local factors are considered and contribute to our decision-making process.

“Other options available to customers include mobile, telephony, web chat, cash machines, video banking and everyday banking services that can be done at post offices.”
