A new Co-op travel branch will open in a £300,000 unit next to Lincoln’s M&S Foodhall later this week.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Tritton Road Travel branch will open in the purpose-built space at Moorland Centre Retail Park, off Tritton Road, on Friday, March 9.

The unit has been specially-clad to match the recently opened M&S Foodhall and is close to the travel branch’s old home on the site.

The new travel branch will open later this week.

The branch has a modern design and a ceiling-mounted world map to help holidaymakers spot destinations to explore.

There are eight travel desks inside for holidaymakers to book their trip with the travel team, and a cruise lounge for customers keen to explore oceans and waterways.

There’s also a Bureau de Change to provide travel currency, plus two seating areas so customers can browse brochures in store.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Travel Group Manager Wayne Dennett said: “Our Tritton Road Travel team offer a valued service to many people around Lincoln and further afield, so we’re pleased they’re moving into a modern and spacious new home.

“We believe the branch’s design is different to anything else in Lincolnshire at the moment.

“Whether you have a firm favourite destination or are open to exploring new places, everything about the branch will help you feel inspired and excited to book your next trip away.

“Because we’re independent and aren’t tied to any single tour operator, we have the flexibility to book from over 200 suppliers.”
