Plans submitted for yoga retreat with glamping domes near Lincoln

This story is over

Plans have been submitted to North Kesteven District Council for a yoga retreat, complete with glamping and dining domes, to be built south of Lincoln.

Submitted by J M Hounsfield & Son, plans would see land at Chestnut Tree Farm, Wellingore, off Pottergate Road transformed into a relaxation retreat.

Proposals include eight glamping-style domes, a yoga dome, dining dome and a 16-space car park.

Named Purusha Yoga Retreats, the resort would see customers being given a retreat schedule, typically consisting of three yoga sessions a day and other workshops.

Treatments and workshops at the retreat would include:

  • Mindfulness
  • Mantra
  • Meditation
  • Guided nature walks
  • Introduction to sustainable farming
  • Massage

Visitors to the retreat would also have free time to explore the farm and local area, relax in their own wood burning hot tub, and socialise with others at the retreat in a central yoga dome.

If approved, the retreat would create three part-time jobs and secure two existing jobs at the farm.  Proposals will be discussed at a planning committee meeting at North Kesteven District Council at a later date.
