The Boots store on Lincoln High Street will be available to let later this year following the relocation of the popular retailer.

Unit 311-312 High Street will be available to let from September as Boots plans to relocate to the former British Home Stores (BHS) store 50m away.

Boots has now submitted plans to the City of Lincoln Council to alter the shopfront and signage of the former BHS store, which closed in August 2016.

The BHS store was on the market with Green & Partners LLP as two separate units, 3,741 square foot priced at £270,000 and 4,330 square foot at £290,000 per annum.

It is not yet known when Boots will relocate into the former BHS store, however according to estate agent Savills, the 11,436 square foot Boots store will be available by way of a new lease direct from the landlord from September.

To let the current Boots store on Lincoln High Street it will cost £375,000 per annum.

Alliance Boots the Group who own the Boots brand said in the design and access statement for the proposals: “Boots are to relocate into the old BHS stone which is within 50m of the existing store on the opposite side of the High Street.

“There are two main areas which are to be addressed as part of the works which will have a direct impact on the surrounding area: shopfront and signage.”
