Representatives from businesses across the county attended the first Lincolnshire Marketing Conference yesterday evening.

More than 110 people attended the event organised by Distract at The Showroom on Tritton Road on May 15.

Taking the stage at the event were marketing experts from Sky who demonstrated how businesses in Lincolnshire can tap into TV audiences while digital marketers from Distract, including Peter Watson and Tom Jacobs gave advice about social media and paid search advertising.

Dean Graham, founder of CityX, also spoke to attendees about how the publishing sector is changing and bringing new opportunities for a wide range of businesses.

Peter Watson, Managing Director at Distract and organiser of the event told CityX: “We really set out to create a signature event for Marketing within the county, as we felt that Lincolnshire required something that really supported all businesses involved, or interested in marketing.

“It really has paid off, the tickets were in high demand, and capacity was filled everytime we reopened registration, which showed the demand towards an event of this feat, with over 110 attendees arriving on for the afternoon.

“I would like to thank all of the sponsors that made it happen, and for the team for pulling everything together.

“The Sponsors were, Amica HR, Sky, CityX, Distract and Salted Orange Food.

“Having seen the phenomenal feedback from the event, we are already looking at the next event, and sponsors have already been in contact, which is brilliant!”
