Bicycle store, Giant Lincoln, part of Lincolnshire’s Doddington Hall Estate, has opened a new store, Giant Lincoln Station, in the heart of the city.

The cycle specialist has opened the new retail unit within Lincoln’s brand new £30 million Transport Hub scheme at the train station, with an official opening planned for Saturday, May 26.

Giant Lincoln’s city centre store offers bike hire and cycle services as well as provide a range of bikes for sale.

To celebrate the official opening, the store will be offering free bicycle safety checks between 10am and 2pm on May 26.

Like its sister store on the Doddington Hall estate, the new retail unit offers cyclists expert advice and products as well as the opportunity to test ride bicycles.

Mark Hollingworth, general manager of Giant Store Lincoln at Doddington, said: “We’re really excited about the opening of our new store in the Transport Hub. Since opening the store in Doddington in 2015, our aim has been to encourage more people to enjoy cycling. It’s all about having fun.

“We have a cycle route on the Doddington Hall Estate, which we recently extended by 1½ miles to provide a safe off-road route between Doddington and Lincoln. It made perfect sense to link up with the Transport Hub and open up a new store in Lincoln too.”

The new Giant Lincoln Station on St Mary’s Street, is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm.
