All Lincolnshire House of Fraser stores to close as part of rescue deal

This story is over

Retail brand House of Fraser is planning to close all of its stores in Lincolnshire in a bid to rescue the profit-losing brand.

The department store chain plans to close 31 of its shops, including those on Lincoln High Street and in Freshney Place Shopping Centre, Grimsby.

These closures will affect around 6,000 jobs across the country, however at the time of writing it is unknown how many jobs in Lincolnshire this will affect.

All Lincolnshire stores are set to close, with the closest House of Fraser stores being in Nottingham and Sheffield.

Plans for these closures have now gone to creditors, in which 75% need to approve plans.
