A new gourmet burger delivery company has launched in Lincoln to rival the likes of Deliveroo.
The Bare Pit, which runs from the kitchen in the Gatehouse Pub on Newark Road officially launched in May and delivers a range of gourmet burger masterpieces to hungry mouths around the city.
All burgers start with a high quality 6oz steak patty, and are served with a range of toppings from Mac ‘n’ cheese, to peanut butter and jelly.
Prices range from £5.95 for a cheeseburger, to £8.95 for the ‘Bare Pit’ burger. All burgers also come with fries and are delivered straight to your door.
The company, which delivers in a six-mile radius, is also environmentally conscious, and uses biodegradable boxes and recycled paper bags.
Kat Nicholson, who owns The Bare Pit and started the company after leaving her job as a secondary school teacher in Leeds told CityX: “Where I lived in Leeds there was a similar service, me and my friends would often order from them, and when my friends came over from Lincoln they would be very excited about the idea of a gourmet fancy burger delivered!
“So I thought Lincoln needs this! I left teaching moved back here to be closer to friends and family and started The Bare Pit.
“For most we are a delivery service, but we also serve the pubs customers and people can come and collect their food from there too if they want.
“It’s proving very popular!
“Each week we have a special burger, we have a Mac’n’Cheese burger, Wagyu burger, Waffle burger and the popular PBJ (peanut butter jelly) burger. All made from high quality steak mince.
“Currently we are only open Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm to 11pm but we will be opening all week later on in the summer. And we’ll also be adding fancy milkshakes to the menu soon too!”
