Battle of Britain Memorial Flight aircraft have been confirmed for the RAF100 weekend in Lincoln next month.
Organisers have today revealed that this celebration, which incorporates the annual 1940s event, is expected to feature no less than five flypasts.
The exact timings have still to be confirmed, but historic aircraft from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight promise to be the stars of the weekend – with the much-loved Lancaster due to appear late morning on Saturday, August 11 and the Dakota in the afternoon.
On Sunday, August 12, people will be able to spot the Spitfire in the morning, the Dakota at lunchtime and the Lancaster, Hurricane and Spitfire together in the late afternoon.
The RAF100 weekend, taking place on August 11 and 12, is expected to see 30,000 people throughout the event and will see a number of displays and activities going on in 13 different areas in the city.
