Expansion plans for Doddington Farm Shop

Doddington Farm Shop is to be extended to meet a growing demand for locally sourced food, artisan produce and craft drinks.

The Farm Shop, which is set within the estate of Doddington Hall near Lincoln, is gearing up for expansion as an extra room is to be built at the rear of the building to make space for an extended food and drinks range.

The new look shop will also see the creation of a wine shop, larger deli area and extended butcher’s department as well as a new space dedicated to the sale of a new range of products including professional cookware.

Since opening in 2007, Doddington Hall’s Farm Shop has steadily grown and has become well known for providing seasonal food with little or no food miles; including produce picked from the Hall’s Kitchen Garden and beef from the Lincolnshire Red Cattle reared on the estate.

Farm Shop Manager, Sarah Hall, said: “We are extending the shop by another third so that we have more space to expand our popular range of fresh produce and drink.

“Over the next 18 months we expect to see more craft whiskies and rums on the market and we are already looking for exciting new local products.”

The new look Farm Shop is due for completion at the end of September and will remain open as normal with minimal disruption as the work will take place behind the building.
