New home décor store Bespoke Blinds opens in Lincolnshire
Bespoke Blinds, a blind fitting business offering a full service from measurement to design advice and fitting, has opened its first shop in Scunthorpe thanks to support from the UK Steel Enterprise (UKSE) Kickstart Fund.
Established in February 2018, brothers Steve and Mark Fawcett first set up the business online installing custom made blinds for customers across North Lincolnshire.
Just months after the initial launch of the company the duo found themselves looking for premises where they could meet clients face-to-face and showcase examples of their products.
The doors to the new store on Ashby High Street opened in May following receipt of a £500 grant from the UK Steel Enterprise Kickstart Fund, which covered the cost of renovations to the shop’s interior and exterior branded signage.
The company now specialises particularly in fitting blinds in bay windows and, following its success to date, the brothers have revealed plans to expand the team three-fold over the next 12 months.
Business Director, Steve Fawcett, said: “We’re delighted to now have a shop front in the local town, providing us with a base in which to meet with our customers to discuss their needs and design ideas.”
Bespoke Blinds is the latest in a succession of businesses to take up residence on Ashby High Street following funding support from UKSE and the Kickstart Fund, with neighbour Taylor’s Family Butcher also opening its doors in August 2016.
Launched in February 2016 the UKSE Kickstart Fund – working in partnership with North Lincolnshire Council and the Growth Hub to support those looking to establish a business in the area – provides grants up to £750.
