The Boots store on Lincoln High Street will move into the former BHS unit in the new year, the retailer has confirmed.
As previously reported, the current High Street Boots unit is up to let signs and planning permission was granted for new signage in the former BHS store opposite – which closed in August 2016.
Now, Boots has confirmed to CityX that the firm will not open its new store on Lincoln High Street until the new year – despite previous reports that the new store would open this September.
Boots’ current store, just 50m away from its new location will remain open until the new store is complete.
The BHS store was on the market with Green & Partners LLP as two separate units, 3,741 square foot priced at £270,000 and 4,330 square foot at £290,000 per annum.
According to estate agent Savills, the 11,436 square foot Boots store will cost £375,000 per annum to let.
A specific relocation date is yet to be set.
