Lincoln firm receives business boost from Theo Paphitis

A Lincoln based firm has received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis.

Last week, Lorena Jane, owner of Lorena Jane Art Ltd (Take part in art) tweeted Theo about her business during ‘Small Business Sunday’ and was one of six weekly winners to gain a retweet by Theo to his 500,000 Twitter followers.

The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has over 2200 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.

Business and retail entrepreneur Theo re‐tweeted Lorena’s message to his almost 500,000 followers and as a result, www.takepartinart.co.uk has hundreds more followers and many more enquiries about what they do. They are also now profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com) that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.

Lorena’s tweet said: “Hi @TheoPaphitis I have an arts company that makes a difference during and beyond the life of its projects. Creating smiles. Creating memories. Celebrating diversity and enabling self worth for participants.

“Can’t put a price on that but a winning #sbs tweet would be amazing!”

Lorena told CityX: “I set up the company to make a difference.

“The power of art is phenomenal and can make such an impact. It is mainly community projects and groups but to keep it accessible it needs to be cost effective.

“I don’t generally enter awards as it is not a business concentrated around profit margins. The value it has cannot be measured in money. However, I liked the #sbs concept.”

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.

“My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Lorena Jane Art Ltd every success.”
