Promoter of GRIT, Jason Bridges said: “GRIT was born in the basement almost 3 years ago. Bill and Keith’s is looking great and we are happy to be on board! The new spaces are great and will allow us to create events with bigger and better artists and even bigger production. We are starting of with a bang on 21st of September with the huge DJ ZINC on the basement level. join us for what’s set to be our biggest year yet!

We asked the venue about the back story –

Bill & Keith were destined for success.

Friends from a young age their bond was like no other. On a night out they met four other guys and after a few drinks they decided to be reckless, start a band and sell their souls to the gods of rock and roll.

To cut a long story short, they became super famous, Keith on backing vocals and guitar and Bill blended into the background.

A few years later, Keith became friends with a man named Mick and Bill jealous and left the band.

After writing the song ‘waiting for a friend’, Keith felt bad for Bill so decided that the best way for them to rekindle their friendship was to open a jazz club …

It lasted about 72 hours before Keith got sick of Bill’s B.S and pied him off and returned back to the fame.

So here we are, taking on Bill & Keiths Jazz club. Except this time it isn’t a jazz club and it’s not owned by two guys called Bill & Keith, but hey… signage is expensive and we’re cheap skates.

The venue has some simple rules:

  • No perfect people allowed
  • Double texters welcome
  • No sneezing, sniffing or spitting
  • Autocorrect makes us say things we don’t intend to
  • If you’re not addicted to the Hokey Pokey then turn yourself around
  • Children left unattended will be sold to the circus
  • We have FREE wifi starting from £59.99

Food & Drink

As well as a wide variety of drinks on offer, the venue will also include three food venders:

  • Patty Smiths Rockstar Burgers
  • Overly Kneady Stone baked Pizza
  • Yorky Yorks Yorkshire Pudding Wraps
