Lincoln College CEO in top IoD East Midlands Directors for 2018 national awards

The CEO of Lincoln College Group is among 10 East Midlands directors to have been selected to go forward to the national finals of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Director of the Year awards in October.

Gary Headland, CEO of Lincoln College Group has been shortlisted for two categories: Director of the Year – Global and Director of the Year- Public/Third sector awards.

Shahid Sheikh OBE, Managing Director of Clifton Packaging Group Ltd in Leicester, who earlier this year was named as the IoD’s East Midlands Director of the Year, has also been shortlisted for two categories at the event: Director of the Year-Innovation and Director of the Year- Inclusivity.

The IoD Director of the Year 2018 awards will be held at The Royal Horticultural Halls in London on Thursday, October 18.

Ron Lynch, IoD East Midlands Regional Director, said: “We are thrilled that so many of our regional leaders have made it to the national finals.

“Previous regional winners have included the IoD’s current Director General Stephen Martin.”

Lincolnshire

  • Gary Headland, CEO Lincoln College Group-Global and Public/Third sector awards.

Nottinghamshire

  • Aaron Dicks, Managing Director, Impressions Digital Ltd, Nottinghamshire (who comes from Northampton) –SME award.
  • Richard Gill, CEO, Drone Defence Service Ltd -Start-up Director award.

Northamptonshire

  • Karl Hodgkinson, Group Commercial Director, Howard Tenens Ltd – the Family Business award.

Derbyshire

  • Simon Rice, Managing Director of HSG UK Ltd – Innovation award.
  • Josh Stamp, Strategic Director of The Esland Group Ltd –New Director award.
  • Jillian Thomas, Managing Director of Future Life Wealth Management
  • Helen Wathall, Managing Director of G Wathall and Sons Ltd-Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award.

Leicestershire

  • Shahid Sheikh, Managing Director of Clifton Packaging Group Ltd- Innovation and Inclusivity awards.
  • Pete Frost,Trustee, Norton Housing Support-Non-Executive Director award.
