As final preparations are being made for the new, larger Olé Olé Tapas Bar at The Lawn in Lincoln, CityX was invited for an exclusive sneak peek tour of the Spanish venue.
As previously reported, Olé Olé Tapas Bar and Restaurant has relocated from its previous eatery at 33 Bailgate and will officially open its larger premises on Union Road on Thursday, September 20.
The owners of Olé Olé Tapas Bar have ensured that the core family values and quirky feel of the original Spanish-themed restaurant will remain despite the larger venue and has invested £200,000 into its new location.
The new restaurant, which is opening due to a high demand for its Spanish cuisine in Lincoln, includes a larger kitchen and wine cellar, as well as an outdoor seating area and room inside for around 100 covers.
Amador Abruneiras, joint owner and general manager told CityX: “It was a hard decision to make, as the original Olé Olé venue gave given us a lot of happy moments for our family and also the guests and customers that joined us over the last five years.
“We were previously thinking of doing an extension to meet demand, however we saw that was not quite possible and then this place became available and we thought this could be the right place for us.
“Nothing is going to change in the core of the business. It is the same family, the same chefs, just a new location.
“We have brought with us the quirkiness and the uniqueness of the original Olé Olé that people love.”
And this is just the beginning for the family-run business.
The next stage of the company’s expansion, which is due to start in a couple of years time, includes a conservatory that can extend the restaurant with another 40 covers.
