Customers and commuters will have a new look filling station in Boston to keep them fuelled once a programme of work worth £430,000 is complete.

Lincolnshire Co-op’s Eastwood Road Food Store and Filling Station provides a range of services, from fuel for vehicles to Costa Coffee and food for now and later.

It’s now undergoing a transformation which will see the food store refurbished and extra services added including an instore bakery, more chilled beers and wine, hot food to go and a wider range of chilled food.

This work is expected to take place in November.

The forecourt will be given a refresh, the fuel pumps replaced and underground works will take place in another phase of work.

To allow this to happen the forecourt is now closed and is due to reopen on Friday, December 7.

The food store will remain open while all the improvements take place.

Lincolnshire Co-op Store Development Projects Manager Chris Glover said: “Our Eastwood Road Food Store and Filling Station is a busy outlet used by lots of people each day, so we’re pleased to be investing in it for our customers and the store team.

“It’s a substantial programme of work and unfortunately this does mean the forecourt will have to close.”

Eastwood Road Food Store and Filling Station Store Manager Paul Cartwright said: “The team are really excited about the refurbishment and can’t wait to share the final result with everyone once the work’s all complete.”
