Lincolnshire daredevil Guy Martin will be taking to our screens again as he attempts to break a lap time record in a modified Ford Transit van.

Within the programme, which will air on Channel 4 next month, Guy will attempt to achieve the van lap record in his modified Transit van at the Nürburgring.

The Nürburgring is a world famous racing circuit often referred to as ‘the green hell’ located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

A spokesperson said: “Guy’s had a new job on.

“His Ford Tranny van has had a service and a few tweaks ready for the Nürburgring.

“Coming soon to Channel 4 television.”

Guy Martin: The World’s Fastest Van? Will be aired on Channel 4 on Sunday, November 4 at 9.00pm.

Local company Kurnia Aerial Photography has been working with Guy and the production team on the programme – filming with their drones at Cadwell Park racing circuit capturing footage of Guy testing out the Transit on the circuit many refer to as the mini-nürburgring.

Michael Kheng, founder of the company told CityX: “This is the second time we have worked with Guy, the third if you include Kurnia Licensing Consultants looking after his pub licence, Marrowbone and Cleaver in Kirmington.

“The first was the Wall of Death filmed a three years ago.

“It can be extremely stressful when you only have one chance to get the shot. We now practice and rehearse what we need to do to try and ensure we get the shot.

“We are now getting more enquiries from production companies that are looking to get a different perspective on things.

“Most are sensible and use a limited amount of drone shots though so as not to over drone the production.”
