There will be temporary two-way lights half-way between the Skellingthorpe Road and Dixon Street junctions next week, outside of the rush hour periods.
Work is starting on Sunday, October 21 to create a hardstanding area within the grass verge near the pedestrian crossing to allow the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership to park and monitor speeds along the road.
Temporary two-way lights will be in place during the daytime on Sunday, with occasional, short-duration use during the week. The work is expected to take five days to complete.
A highways spokesperson said: “We realise this is a busy route, so we’ve scheduled the works for the half-term break, when traffic is much lighter.
“In addition, the two-way lights won’t be in place during the morning and evening rush hours, which should minimise any disruption to motorists.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
