Members of the planning committee at the City of Lincoln Council have approved plans for 36 affordable homes at the site of the former Boultham Dairy.

At a meeting on Wednesday, November 7, members approved plans for the affordable homes at Boultham Park Road, adjacent to Lidl and the new Lincoln mosque.

Submitted by Longhurst Group, the development will now see six three-bed townhouses, 12 two-bed semi-detached houses and 18 two-bed semi-detached homes built on site.

The site was formerly used as a dairy which has since been demolished and redeveloped and permission was previously granted for a food store, mosque and housing on the site in June 2012.

A spokesperson said in the Design and Access statement: “The proposals are to provide 36 dwellings across the site with a split of shared ownership and social rented properties.”

At the time of writing it is unknown when work will begin on site.
