Plans have been submitted to the City of Lincoln Council for a snooker club and bar above Super Lincs on Lincoln High Street.

Submitted by Mr Dana Omar, plans would see the first floor of the building at 116 High Street turned into a new commercial storey consisting a restaurant/bar at the front and a snooker club at the back.

Ground floor plans

Plans would also see a store room built a the back of the existing shop and two new residential units built on the land located at the back of the shop.

If approved, the two residential units would each include two bedrooms.

First floor plans

The existing property currently consists of a shop on the ground floor, a storage floor on the first floor, which covers only a part of the property area, and empty land at the rear.

Within the application, a spokesperson said: “The development will change the setting and appearance of the street scene along High Street.

Shop front proposals

“The area is a Conservation Area and contains a number of Listed Buildings along with one Scheduled Monument.

“The proposed development removes the current shop frontage, which being lime green, currently detracts from the setting of these designated sites and the proposed new development is considered an improvement.”

Members of the planning committee at the City of Lincoln Council will discuss proposals at a later date.
