Best ways to drink Lincolnshire’s Pin Gin this Christmas

This story is over

Pin Gin, a distillery based in Louth, has recently released four seasonal recipes to spice up your average gin and give it the respect it deserves at this time of year!

Perfect for the Christmas period, take a look at these four recipes – which takes your fancy?

Hot Apples

Warm some St Botolph’s Pure Apple Juice in a pan.

Add in a spoonful of honey, a handful of star anise, cloves and dried ginger.

When it’s nice and warm, pour in some Pin Gin.

Pin Gin said: “We suggest straining these out when pouring into your chosen vessel.”

Autumn and Winter Gin

Take a pour of Premium Pin Gin and add a twist for sweetness or a slice of orange.

Throw in a cinnamon stick for a spicy edge.

Pin Gin said: “We love this topped up with a classic Fever-Tree Indian Tonic water.

“For a real edge, try the new Franklin & Sons Black Olive & Rosemary Tonic!”

Pin and Ginger

For when a regular gin and tonic isn’t enough.

Get a big tumbler, a bit of ice, add some Pin Gin and top up with Fever-Tree Ginger Ale.

You can leave this as it is or garnish with something nice and warm like some dried root ginger or cinnamon.

Classic Pin and Tonic

Fill your glass with cubed ice and pour in some Pin Gin.

Add in a slice of orange, Pin Gin recommend a naval orange because of its juiciness.

Then pour over a premium Indian Tonic Water, such as the citrus flavours of Fever-Tree.

If you like a herby finish, then throw in a sprig of Rosemary.
