Hair we are! Another year and another Movember completed – and OrderWise surpassed its goal of £1,000 by over three times to raise awareness of men’s health.
The Lincoln Business Management Software company brought together a team of eight willing staff members to raise the money as part of team: The OrderMos.
In total, the team raised a fan-tash-tic £3,110 for The Movember Foundation, which will go towards saving and improving men’s lives through projects focused on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
The Movember Foundation is a leading charity changing the face of men’s health.
It is actively addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention.
A spokesperson for OrderWise told CityX: “Throughout the month, we’ve sold chocolate moustaches, held a charity quiz night, serenaded staff members with ukulele renditions of their favourite songs and so much more!
“Eight of our employees grew impressive moustaches in the name of men’s health, with Olie Hanson, our QA Officer, even growing a 360 mo! The team finished off the month with a topless rendition of YMCA for a final push of donations which earned them an amazing £350 from David Hallam.
“We also managed to make it onto the fundraising leaderboards for across the UK with the OrderMo’s hitting number 31 in top teams of 10 or less, as well as Olie reaching number 94 in the leaderboard for individual Mo Bro’s.”
