The popular Medieval Market will not run alongside this year’s Lincoln Christmas Market.
The market will not go ahead due to conservation works taking place the The Old Bishop’s Palace, English Heritage has confirmed.
The themed medieval market stalls usually set up in Medieval Bishops’ Palace close to Lincoln Cathedral, offering unique, historic surroundings.
However, on-going conservation work means it will not go ahead, however it is hoped it will return for 2019.
A spokesperson for English Heritage told CityX: “Due to on-going conservation work taking place at Lincoln Medieval Bishop’s Palace, English Heritage advised the Christmas market organisers that we would not be able to participate this year.”
