An outline planning application to erect 61 new homes in Gainsborough has been approved.

Outline plans, submitted by Beth Barton and Robert Iredale of Bumble Bee Hall, could see some 61 homes built in the town.

Following full approval, the 61 homes could be build on land south of Willingham Road, Lea.

This would include a number of two-bed, three-bed and four-bed market houses and two and three-bed social rented homes.

Of the 61 homes, 20% of these will be classed as ‘affordable’.

The proposed 3.04 ha piece of land is currently being used as a paddock and if fully approved, the development will be split into four phases.
