Plans for 150 new homes have been approved by West Lindsey District Council as part of the first phase of Lincoln Greetwell Fields.
When complete, Greetwell Fields, which is based on land to the south of Augustine Road, will include 500 homes.
Submitted by Persimmon Homes, phase one will include 150 homes including maisonettes, mews, semi-detatched and detatched houses.
As part of the application, a proposal for a new junction with St Augustine Road was also been submitted, alongside landscaping.
At the time of writing it is unknown when work will begin in site.
A spokesperson said in the application: “The residential development will help to secure the provision of both public and private sector housing, and will provide a provision for future housing requirements within the district.
“The scheme presents a well designed proposal tailored towards local economy growth, whilst offering a mechanism for addressing clearly identified local need, whilst ensuring the proposals are in keeping with the scale and character of the surrounding area.”
