A new event aimed at helping businesses attract and welcome American visitors, specifically through tourism, retail and hospitality, will come to Lincoln later this month.
Taking place from 9.30am to 1pm at the Chapter House, Lincoln Cathedral – the Lincoln – England Originals Training event will include training and advice for businesses.
Alongside training from Capela, the leading travel and hospitality skills training company, Visit Lincoln will be presenting the local assets of the project – 3D mapping of the city, AR portals and new online booking through Visit London.
There will also be a presentation on the Lincoln Cathedral Connected project and the opportunities the investment into the Cathedral presents to businesses.
Each half day session, which costs £50, will include:
- An introduction to the new England Originals product including a demonstration of the England Originals app
- Details on how your destination is being promoted internationally as part of the England Originals product and how your businesses can benefit
- Chance to network with businesses in your locality
This comes as Spring 2019 will see the launch of a new £1.6 million initiative to attract more international visitors to English cities. England Originals is a new marketing campaign from England’s Historic Cities, bringing together 15 of England’s top-flight historic destinations with the City of London into five specially selected itineraries that transport visitors into the heart and soul of England.
The campaign is aimed primarily at US millennials, one of the fastest growing consumer groups in international travel.
