Plans for new homes, crèche and office space in Fiskerton

This story is over

Outline plans have been submitted for a new development in Fiskerton at the former Tanya Kintwear Site.

Proposals, submitted by Fiskerton Developments Ltd, would see the demolition of part of an ancillary office building at the site of the former Tanya Knitwear on Ferry Road at Fiskerton, to create new access and retain 384 m2 of office space.

Plans would also see the conversion of a residential building on site to provide a 134m2 crèche/children’s nursery, alongside 26 open market homes and two affordable dwellings.

All 26 properties would be two storeys, with a mix of one bedroom flats, two and three bedroom terraces, three-bed semi-detached homes and detached dwellings offering three and four-bedroom accommodation.

The 1.1 hectare site would also include a bus stop, various landscaping and parking.

The site has not been active since 2006, after the Tanya Knitwear Factory stopped using it.

If approved, the children’s nursery would create around 38 jobs and would be open 7am-7pm Monday-Friday.

This is the second time the company has applied for planning on side, with the first proposals for the erection of up to 560m2 of office space, 235m2 children’s nursery, 20 open market dwellings, public space, bus stop and turning area being refused on February 8, 2018.

Members of the West Lindsey District Council planning committee will discuss new proposals for the site at a later date.
