A new chocolate festival, which has planned to come to Lincoln later this month, will no longer go ahead.
From the organisers of The Great British Gin Festival and Rum & Reggae, a new day of confectionary, live music and chocolatiers was set to come to the Engine Shed on March 16.
The event was due to include a range of chocolatey treats and Willy Wonka-inspired characters to keep the kids (and big kids) entertained.
However, on March 1, organisers sent attendees a cancellation statement, explaining the event will no longer go ahead.
It read: “Unfortunately due to unforeseen logistical issues that would prevent us from being able to deliver the show to its full potential at the venue, we are regrettably unable to bring the show to Lincoln on the 16th March 2019.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
“Delivering a great experience for our guests is our absolute priority and sadly we do not feel we would be able to meet peoples expectations in this space.”
