PP Motor Group training the next generation of female vehicle technicians

Local firm PP Motor Group has appointed new apprentice Leah Darby helping to create a future generation of female vehicle technicians.

As National Apprenticeship Week, which runs from March 4 – 8, gets into full swing, the Lincoln company has expanded its team with new apprentice Leah.

The company will be working alongside Lincoln College to guide Leah to a level 2 & 3 NVQ.

Managing Director at PP Motor Group John Creasey said: “We are delighted to announce the addition of Leah to our team here at PP Motor Group, as we look to build for the future it important we add a young generation to our already highly experienced team.

“Leah already has nearly two years’ experience under her belt, her potential to grow and learn here in our service department is very exciting and our aim is for her to become one of Lincoln’s leading vehicle technicians.

“We also look forward to working with Lincoln Collage in guiding Leah to a level 2 & 3 NVQ.”

Leah added: “I am very excited for the opportunity that PP Motor Group have given me.

“I am learning every day from the experienced technicians who are helping me through my apprenticeship, as well as attending Lincoln College each week to complete my level 2 vehicle maintenance and repair NVQ.

“I am looking forward to progressing with the company and eventually becoming a fully qualified and experienced motor vehicle technician.”
