Selenity: Celebrating 30 years in business

Local firm Selenity is this week celebrating its 30th anniversary after first launching the business 1989.

Formed in 1989 as Software Europe – a software reseller, Selenity started developing its own cloud-based software solutions back in 2000 when it began to explore the potential of the internet for delivering business solutions.

In 2001 Selenity’s first cloud product Selenity Expenses was launched, over the years Selenity has continued to innovate in line with the advancements in technology to provide the best possible experience for its customers.

Selenity now continues to develop award winning cloud-based Finance & HR solutions with an ever-growing customer base of over 400 clients across both the public and commercial sectors, from global brands to SMEs, including 67% of the NHS.

Selenity works to save customers millions of pounds each year while increasing efficiencies, compliance and making their working life better.

Deborah Saunby, Sales & Marketing Director who recently celebrated her 20th year at Selenity said: “We’ve built a really great team of colleagues over the years, all of whom are so passionate about delivering amazing technology and customer service.

“When I think back over my time at Selenity so much has changed, the technological landscape is continually evolving and that’s part of what makes it all so exciting!”

Selenity’s growth over the past 30 years has been self-funded without any external investment. The company is owned and run by the management team who have a unique blend of skills, driving innovation and enthusiasm through a strong cultural belonging and a happy work life balance, a philosophy that is evident through every part of the organisation.

With a mission to make a difference with its colleagues for their customers and in their community, Selenity’s continued growth over the past 30 years allow for its ongoing support of local schools and social projects including; work experience, apprenticeships, skills workshops, National Citizens Service and Lincoln City Football Club.
