New vintage clothing store opening in Lincoln

A new store is set to open in Lincoln next month, bringing a modern take on the traditional vintage clothing shop.

Rock Retro is set to open at 18 Guildhall Street in May, which currently occupies Back To Mono.

Back To Mono will be moving premises, occupying space above Coffee Aroma.

Owners of the new business will be completely refitting the records store, bringing a modern take on vintage clothing to the high street.

Adam Mann, from Rock Retro told CityX: “We are opening early to mid-May, we are unsure on the specific date as of yet.

“Rock Retro will be a completely different shop to Back to Mono, we will be selling vintage clothing such as 90s sportswear (e.g. branded sweatshirts, t-shirts, track jackets), other 80s and 80s fashion (e.g. pattern shirts, Levi’s shorts and jackets) and some accessories such as sunglasses.

“Customers should expect a modern take on a vintage clothing shop, we are looking to support sustainable fashion and living so will be using recyclable bags and obviously vintage is recycling!

“We will be doing a refit of the shop, new floor, new fittings and fresh paint!

“We don’t have any other shops but we are currently selling on the app Depop under the name rockretro.

“We hope to cater to everyone’s fashion needs but believe students will be our main customer.

“We will also look to buy unwanted vintage clothing from customers if they bring some into the shop.”
