Tomorrow, Expo East will once again bring together companies and professionals from a range of industries from the counties that neighbour Lincolnshire.

Brought to you by CityX, the organisers of the Lincolnshire Business Expo, and Invest Newark & SherwoodExpo East is a B2B exhibition connecting businesses across the East of England.

Expo East 2019 will take place on Thursday, May 16 at Newark Showground from 9am – 3pm.

Last year, more than 1,000 people attended the first ever Expo East event at Newark Showground on April 25, connecting businesses across the East of England.

The day saw more than 70 exhibitors and 23 speakers across 11 events.

This year, East East 2019 has been proudly sponsored by Streets Chartered Accountants, Soper BMW and Peachy Events.

The Exec Club Breakfast

The Exec Club Breakfast at Expo East is brought to you by Streets Chartered Accountants. This is an exclusive breakfast hosted in the Cedric Ford Pavilion at Newark Showground, aimed at Chief Executives and the Managing and Senior Directors of the East Midlands’ most successful businesses and organisations.

The breakfast includes:

  • 8am Full English Breakfast

  • 9am Breakfast to finish, guests are invited across the the George Stephenson Exhibition Hall for the remainder of the event

Sir John Peace chairs Midlands Connect and the Midlands Engine. He has a long and distinguished business career at the highest levels covering the technology, financial services and retail sectors. He is a Founder, former Chairman and Chief Executive of Experian plc, former Chief Executive of GUS Plc, former Chairman of Standard Chartered plc and until July 2018 was Chairman of Burberry plc. He was knighted in 2011 for services to the business and voluntary sector, and has been Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire since 2012.

When the IoD produced its mental health report in 2017, entitled ‘A Little More Conversation’, it became rapidly apparent that this is an issue that affects businesses on a large scale and one that needed further attention. The Chairman of the IoD for Greater Lincolnshire will lead a panel of experts from the Local Enterprise Partnership, Local Authority, Third Sector and the IoD to explore a range of issues related to this increasingly important topic.
