Plans for 14 new apartments to be built on a former Gainsborough pub site have been approved by West Lindsey District Council.
Proposals, submitted by Brijesh Patel Esq, will see the demolition of the existing buildings, and the erection of a new residential building.
The development will also include front gardens, rear parking and associated works.
The Gainsborough pub is currently vacant, and according to the applicant, there has been continued issues in finding tenants for the premises, with the last tenant renting the premises for two months at the beginning of 2017.
As part of the development, the 14 apartments will include 19 car parking spaces.
Overall, the development will include:
- 7 one-bedroom flats
- 7 two-bedroom flats
In the application, a spokesperson on behalf of Brijesh Patel Esq said: “My client is aiming to make a large investment and create a landmark building which enhances and creates new residential units.
“It is hoped the new development will provide new modern living quarters.
“The new residents will help support the local economy in addition to the enhancement of the local environment.”
