A new initiative aimed at showcasing Lincolnshire’s flourishing food and drink sector will officially be launched at this year’s Lincolnshire Show.
Taste Lincolnshire, part of Visit Lincoln, will champion the quality food and drink that is grown, produced, sold and served in the county and celebrate the hard work and dedication of those who work in the sector
Both the Food Court and Lincolnshire Kitchen at the show will be sponsored by Taste Lincolnshire and their show partners Pepperells Solicitors, and the Visit Lincoln team has lots of activities planned throughout the launch day on Wednesday, June 19.
The launch will get under way with a Lincolnshire breakfast for local dignitaries and invited guests, courtesy of Gareth Bartram, Head Chef at Winteringham Fields.
Gareth will also be giving a cookery demonstration in the Lincolnshire Kitchen later in the day as will award-winning TV chef and Taste Lincolnshire ambassador Rachel Green, who will be showcasing Lincolnshire products.
Visit Lincoln CEO Lydia Rusling said: “We’re excited to be launching Taste Lincolnshire, supported by Visit Lincoln partner Pepperells Solicitors, at the Lincolnshire Show and to showcase the brand which we have been working hard on behind the scenes for some time.
“We’re encouraging visitors to the show to come to the Food Court and find out more about the initiative so that they know what to look out for when seeking top-quality local produce to enjoy at home and when out and about.”
As part of the Taste Lincolnshire launch, Visit Lincoln has also invited 20 Instagram influencers to take part in an Instameet to promote the Taste Lincolnshire brand to their followers and there will be a special performance by children from Washingborough Academy.
