New tech sees Lincoln craft and cask ale wholesaler take its customer service to the next level

Customers can now place orders on the go 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with the new app from Lincoln wholesaler Small Beer.

The aApp is already proving popular with clients able to choose from a range of spirits, beers, wines and soft drinks.

This latest technology is part of a wider commitment by Small Beer to continually embrace new ways of providing the best quality customer service and growing the business.

Managing Director Rob Eastwood said: “It is vital that in these ever-changing times we stay relevant and in tune with our customer needs.

“The app has been the perfect tool for us to help meet those needs and give us a modern fresh approach towards building and maintaining great customer relationships.

“As an independent wholesaler, we pride ourselves on putting the right brand on the right bar and the App is just another way we are able to offer a bespoke service for our clients.”

Established in 1980, Small Beer now employs 55 people with an estimated 2019 turnover of £18 million.

Rob added: “It is an exciting time for the business with our 40th anniversary in 2020. As well as the app, we will also be launching a new website later in the year.”

The Lincoln-based business has customers from Newcastle to the south of England dealing with the smallest to the biggest producers in the country.

It offers more than 1,000 cask ale brands each year as well as stocking up to 300 gins and 400 wines plus hundreds of other drinks and spirits, many of which are available on the app.
